Standing amid the stunned beauty of the Delta's nature, I did the only thing I could to honor those who came before me—generations of fishermen, including my great-great-great-grandfather, Leonidas. Originally from Greece, he fled his homeland to find a new life in the shadow of the mighty Danube.

It wasn't planned in a studio, nor did it begin with a script or a crew. It started during a brief two-day trip with family and friends. But standing on the banks of the Danube, surrounded by early morning mist, soaring pelicans, and the timeless stillness of the water, staying passive wasn't an option.

Driven purely by the atmosphere of the moment, I pulled out my phone and began filming. What was meant to be a quiet weekend away evolved into a meditative mini-documentary—a spontaneous effort to capture the untamed beauty, subtle human rituals, and poetic spirit of the Delta.
